Refund & Cancellation Policy

Telecom Hire does not sell anything to you. There is no subscription, no joining fee and no in-app purchase — money flows from us to you. This policy therefore covers job cancellations, deductions from payouts, and how we put mistakes right.

1. If you cancel a job you accepted

Cancel in the app as soon as you know, so the slot can be re-offered to someone else.

  • More than 24 hours before the scheduled start — no deduction, no effect on your rating.
  • Within 24 hours of the start — a late-cancellation deduction may be applied against your next payout, at the rate shown on the job posting when you accepted it.
  • After you have been dispatched, or once you are marked en route — the deduction is higher, because the operator has already been committed to.
  • Not turning up without cancelling — the full late-cancellation deduction applies and repeated no-shows lead to suspension.

No deduction is applied where you cancel because of illness, an accident, a bereavement, a genuine safety concern, or anything else outside your control. Tell us the reason when you cancel and it will be reviewed by a person, not applied automatically.

2. If we or the operator cancel

  • More than 24 hours before the start — no payment is due, and nothing is deducted from you.
  • Within 24 hours, or after you have set out — you are paid a cancellation allowance as stated on the job posting, covering your time and travel.
  • You arrive and the site is not ready — you are paid for the attendance, provided you checked in through the app.

3. Payouts and corrections

  • Payouts are released after attendance and work quality have been verified, on the cycle stated on the job posting.
  • If we have paid you too little, we correct it in the next payout cycle once you raise it — there is no time limit on us putting our own mistake right.
  • If we have paid you too much, we will tell you and recover it from future payouts, spread over more than one cycle if the amount is significant. We will not take it back without telling you first.
  • A payment that fails because the bank or UPI details on your profile were wrong is re-issued once you correct them. Any fee the bank charges for the failed transfer is not deducted from you.

4. Work sent back for rework

If a quality check fails, you will be told what is wrong and given the chance to put it right. Payment is released once the rework passes. If the failure was not your doing — wrong materials supplied, or a site condition you could not have anticipated — you are paid for the original visit as well.

5. Insurance premiums

Where you enrol in day-rate insurance cover through the app, the premium is deducted from the payout for the job it covers. If the job is cancelled before it starts, the premium is not charged; if it has already been deducted, it is refunded in the next payout cycle. Cover that has begun cannot be refunded part-way through a day.

6. Deductions we may make

The only amounts we deduct from a payout are: an agreed insurance premium; a late-cancellation deduction under section 1; recovery of an overpayment under section 3; the cost of company equipment not returned; and any statutory deduction such as TDS. Every deduction is itemised on your invoice in the app.

7. Disputing any of this

Raise it in the app against the job, or write to Telecomhireofficial@gmail.com with the job code. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. Where a deduction is found to have been wrong it is reversed in full in the next payout cycle.
